Used vehicle exports in August totaled 64,898 units, an increase of 18.5% from a year earlier, according to the Ministry of Finance Customhouse statistics. Strong demand for Japanesse used cars especially in Russia, Sri Lanka, Mongolia, Kyrgyz and China contributed to the 8th consecutive month of double-digit increase. The August total was an 11.6% decline compared with the previous month.
According to the analysis conducted by the International Auto Trade Association (iATA), 10 countries in the top 25 destinations saw year-on-year decreases for August, compared with 6 for July.
