Used vehicle deregistrations for export (Yushutsu-masshou) in March totaled 96,935 units, down 18.2% from a year earlier (118,445 units in 2009).
The March total was made up of 28,182 midsize & largesize cars, down 18.4%, 46,292 small cars, off 18.3%, 5,776 heavy- and medium-duty trucks, down 15.9%, 13,501 light trucks, off 20.4%, 749 buses, up 25.7%, and 2,435 special purpose and other vehicles, down 13.6%.
Toyota vehicles accounted for 56.9% (55,187 units) of totale deregistrations for export in March, 1.9 percentage points larger than previous month. The leading brand was followed by Nissan vehicles (10.7%), import brand vehicles (6.4%), and Honda brands vehicles (5.6%).
